EMERGENCY FOOD SHARE

The Emergency Food Share Program is aimed at providing food to those in need in the Comox Valley, including those in need of financial and/or food delivery assistance. The program also provides pick-up and delivery of donated food items from businesses and supports neighbourhood food drives.

Please direct all questions to foodshare@lushvalley.org or to 250-207-HELP (4357).

Call Centre hours of operation are:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Tuesday/Thursday – 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Please note: thanks to the generosity of our community, we DO NOT need any more volunteers at this time.

If you are interested in volunteering elsewhere, we would be happy to direct you to one of our partnering agencies.

We are working diligently to develop a program to help provide food to those in need, however it is still a work in progress.

While we are taking requests, please note that your completion of this form does not confirm that you will receive food immediately. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

During these difficult times we must all work together to #flattenthecurve to slow the spread of the virus. The best way for us to take care of ourselves and each other is by:

  1. Not going out when you are sick or have the following symptoms (cough, fever, sore throat, runny nose, sneezing).
  2. Practice ‘social distancing’ which means keeping 2 metres (6 feet) away from others whenever possible.
  3. Do not touch your face with your hands (without washing them first).
  4. Wash your hands before eating and after returning home (with soap for 20 seconds).

Thank you for your commitment to the continued health of our community.
