After months of fundraising, the moment we have been working towards has arrived. LUSH Valley is proud to announce that we have secured a ‘forever home’ property in Tin Town, Courtenay!

We will take possession of the space on October 1st and couldn’t be more excited. “This is a very big deal for our organization- a huge step in the right direction and a big weight off of all of us to know that we have a permanent location” says Maurita Prato, Executive Director.

The property represents certainty for LUSH Valley moving forward and the hope is that the space will be used and viewed as a community food asset, providing supportive programming for many organizations, individuals, and farmers within the community. Relative to the Comox Valley, the property is centrally located, making it ideal for Healthy Food programming and fresh food distribution to serve the region.

While we are excited to move into our new space, we recognize that this wouldn’t have been possible without the overwhelming support of our community. Thank you to everyone who has helped us on our mission.

We are incredibly grateful to our partners at the City of Courtenay, the CVRD and elsewhere who have provided us public spaces to operate in over the past year and a half. The generosity of our community partners in sharing their spaces has allowed us to operate our many programs throughout the Comox Valley over the past four years.
