Bo - Our New Garden CoordinatorBo Del Valle Garcia is a community organizer, activist, and earth skills/permaculture educator born to the traditional unceded lands of the Coast Salish, otherwise known as Vancouver, BC and is now happily residing on the territories of the K’òmoks and Kwakwaka’wakw.

Their work operates in the intersections between earth, food, medicine and justice. They have spent countless hours learning from the natural world in academic settings, from elders and mentors, and from the living ecosystems that have created the world we call home. They have worked on a number of projects concerning ecosystem repair, bioremediation, food forest design, permaculture gardening, wildcrafting, mushroom cultivation, climate change resiliency, and herbal medicine.

They now focus on creating spaces where others can also connect to the natural world and learn a variety of valuable skills while doing so. Bo is the founder of Tangled Roots Nature Connection, a school for permaculture and wild skills. You can often find them at local markets selling their wildcrafted/handcrafted medicinal mushroom products or you can learn more about Tangled Roots by visiting their website: tangledrootsnature.com.

Bo is so excited to bring their skills and enthusiasm to their new home while working with Lush Valley and we are excited to have them join our team.  Stay tuned for more offerings from Bo!
